What’s new
Moreish is in testing, and a new build arrives every few days. Here’s what changed in each one, newest first.
Build 41
Chat now always asks Moreish when you press Ask, keeps your chats between launches and lists your recent ones. Suggestions from your own book appear above the chat to get you started. On a recipe or a plan, ask about it from the bar at the bottom of the page.
Build 40
Settings has been tidied: choose light or dark, see where your book is kept, and find out about Moreish and how to reach us. The Plan tab is now just "Plan", and cooking a day from a plan starts with the same play button as on a recipe.
Build 39
A new icon: a capital M on its card. The welcome is easier to follow: pictures of what you can bring in, a Back button on every page, a progress bar from the start, and a shorter screen about AI.
Build 38
Recipe and plan pages open at their top, rather than now and then scrolled up under the bar.
Build 37
Recipes shared from Moreish now have moreish.site links, and the app opens them. A shared link’s preview names the site.
Build 36
Margins is now Moreish. A new welcome: a short tour you can play with, then making the app yours with your name, where you cook and your first recipe. Moreish asks once before using AI, and you can stop using it any time from Settings › AI.
Build 35
A new opening: the icon’s card flicks up through an old recipe card, a notebook page, a sticky note and an index card, then gives way to your book. With Reduce Motion on, it simply fades.
Build 34
Choose each recipe’s card: an index card, a notebook page, a sticky note or an old card, held down with washi tape, a paperclip or masking tape. Change it in the editor, or just ask Moreish. Write it yourself now has a Back button and swipes back. Tidier recipe pages, with subheadings that sit better and Serves styled like Prep and Cook.
Build 33
A new look: your recipes are paper again, index cards and notebook pages taped into your book, on a lightly textured page. In dark mode the cards are dark card stock on warm charcoal. On a recipe, “In the margins” is now Notes, and ingredient amounts come first.
Build 32
Settings › Sharing lists every recipe you’ve shared, with Copy link and Stop sharing. Ask Moreish for a link to a recipe and it hands you one right in the chat. Stop sharing takes the page down.
Build 31
TikTok links now become recipes, just like Reels and YouTube videos.
Build 30
Dragging a new recipe’s card now lifts the whole card, sticker and all. The space where a card will land is simpler, without the dashed outline.
Build 29
Search results are filed one behind another, like the suggestions in a chat. Two recipes with the same name each open their own page. Reopening Search no longer writes its last answer out all over again.
Build 28
Rearranging your book is smoother: while you hold a card, the others slide out of the way to show where it will go. Drop a card on a folded section’s heading to put it at the end of that section.
Build 27
Search keeps your conversation: open a recipe from it, go Back, and you’re where you left off. New chat starts afresh. Suggested recipes, and the recipes in your plans, are filed one behind another like a card file. Recipes with accents in their names can be changed again. If a chat goes wrong, Moreish lets us know so we can fix it.
Build 26
Answers no longer freeze half-written or trail a stray line after their suggestions. You can always scroll to the end of an answer, even with the keyboard up. When something is wrong on our side, Moreish says so plainly instead of asking you to try again.
Build 25
A long answer under a tall set of cards stays where you scroll to, instead of springing back.
Build 24
The titles on the Book, Add and Plans now line up.
Build 23
Answers no longer stop partway through a word. Text that follows suggestions or a note to memory carries on smoothly after what came before.
Build 22
Tell Moreish where you cook: your country and metric or US units, set when you start or by telling Moreish. Recipes keep the units they’re written in, and one added in units you don’t use is converted, with the originals in a note.
Build 21
Hold a card in your book and drag it to rearrange, within a section or into another.
Build 20
Ask for a recipe “for 2 tonight” and Moreish rescales it, just like the Serves button, with Show it rescaled and Save as a new version. Cook mode follows: a walkthrough for a different number of people uses the rescaled amounts.
Build 19
Chats keep your newest message in view, and the answer stays put when suggestions appear. Suggestions always come with words, and a missing recipe says so instead of showing a blank page.
Build 18
Moreish knows your whole book now, and shows exactly what it would change in a recipe before you save. A new Plans tab: ask for a week of meals and get a plan with a shopping list to tick off or send to Reminders. Moreish remembers what you tell it about yourself, and you can read and edit that in Settings › About you. Export your whole book, and get deleted recipes back for 30 days from Recently deleted.
Build 17
The buttons at the top of a page share one pill again.
Build 16
On the Book, the header and its buttons scroll away as you read, and the tab bar shrinks to give your recipes more room.
Build 15
No changes you’d notice.
Build 14
Cook mode: follow a recipe as a step-by-step walkthrough. Answers appear as they’re written, a few words at a time. After adding a recipe you can keep talking, and a follow-up change rewrites the card. Scrolling along a row of suggestions no longer hides the keyboard.
Build 13
A recipe’s history now links back to where it came from. Sections fold and open with a gentle animation, and page titles line up. Tap a new recipe’s card in a chat to preview it.
Build 12
Chats are easier to read, with more room between parts and clearer buttons.
Build 11
Fixed recipe pages losing their spacing and Back misbehaving.
Build 10
Preview a new or changed recipe before saving it. See how a shared link will look before you send it, and shared recipe pages now look like the app. A recipe with nothing written yet says so, with a way to start.
Build 9
Open earlier versions of a recipe from its history, and restore one if you liked it better. Ask, Organise and Add now all talk to the same assistant.
Build 8
New recipes go straight onto the section they belong in, marked New until you open them. Type names and notes right where they sit.
Build 7
Times read naturally, like 25 mins or 1 hr 45 mins. Going Back from a recipe opened in Add takes you back to Add.
Build 6
No changes you’d notice.
Build 5
Share a link, some text or photos from another app straight into Moreish. Your profile and settings are now one page. A tidier Add page and editor, and the rescale banner sits by the Serves button.
Build 4
Moreish keeps working on a recipe when you switch to another app.
Build 3
A welcome when you first open the app: your name, then your first recipe. Edit a recipe like a document, every line where it stands.
Build 2
A new opening animation that flips through your cards.
Build 1
The first test build. Bring recipes in from a link, a Reel, a YouTube video, some text or a photo, and keep them in a book you can organise, search and rescale. Share any recipe as a web link.
