Privacy
Moreish is built so your recipes stay yours. The short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and your book lives on your phone or in your own iCloud Drive.
What leaves your phone
When you ask Moreish to do something (add a recipe, rescale, change, organise, plan or answer a question), what it needs goes to our server and on, through Vercel AI Gateway, to an AI model provider (Anthropic for nearly everything; a small model from typesafe-ai decides whether something typed into Search is a question): the recipe or link you gave it, your message, and for chats your book, your first name and what you’ve told it about yourself. We don’t keep it, and the gateway only uses providers that have agreed not to keep it or train on it (zero data retention).
When you share a recipe, a copy of that recipe, your first name and any note are stored so the link works. Anyone with the link can see it. Links aren’t listed anywhere and can’t be guessed. Anyone who sees a shared page can report it to us: the report holds the page’s id, the reason they chose and any words they add.
When something goes wrong in a chat, we’re sent a short report so we can fix it: what went wrong, the first 200 characters of your last message, your first name and which screen you were on. Never your book.
Server logs record which version of the app made each request, and any errors. Our host keeps them for a short time.
What stays with you
Your recipes, plans, conversations with Moreish and what you’ve told it about yourself are files on your phone, in your iCloud Drive when iCloud is on. Apple holds iCloud data under its own privacy policy; we can’t see it.
Deleting things
Delete a recipe or the app and it’s gone from your phone (from iCloud Drive too, if you remove the Moreish folder). To take down a shared link, choose Stop sharing on the recipe or in Settings › Sharing (or ask Moreish): the recipe is deleted from our server and the link says it isn’t shared any more.
